Two days and twelve hours of development latter, eleven men from SigEp Pepperdine spent their first days of spring break gaining the necessary tools and resources to positively impact the chapter. Each year SigEp national’s puts on the Carlson Leadership Academy- a two day conference intended to build and teach the leaders of the chapter the necessary tools for success in their position. For the West Coast division, SigEp had over 20 chapters present with close to 300 brothers in attendance. Our chapter sent five elected members and six rising leaders to attend the conference in order to better themselves and the chapter in the near future. During the conference the members spent time homing in on their specific position or becoming a better overall leader. During their session, members were taught the basics of their role and were advised by professional volunteers and national staff to better the undergraduates knowledge of the particular subject. As the spring semester continues and we head into fall, our chapter will be on a route towards success because our leaders have spent time in preparation to better themselves and the general chapter.
